I am obese, and I'm tired of it. I was thinking of taking a few days to fast in order to shrink my stomach (The organ, not the fat part). I realize that fasting is not a tool for weight loss, so I want to use it to make it much harder for me to cheat on my diet and to encourage myself to eat smaller portions of food. I remember that my stomach shrank when I was forced to fast for a few days when I had food poisoning, so I was wondering: is this a healthy strategy?
fasting to shrink your stomach will not be healthy in the long run.. i think if you ever get cravings then drink water or grab an apple or banana, and just keep telling yourself to do that if you want to lose weight.
ONLY eat when you are hungry. When you get up in the morning, if your not hungry, don't eat untill you are hungry. Eat low carb foods. When you do eat, eat 1 portion, read the label. Wait 20 minutes and decide if you have had enough. Chances are you will be full. It takes 20 minutes for your stomach to tell your brain your full. It's a huge factor that really works. Don't eat till your full or you'll over do it. The key is eat till your comfortable. That's how I lost my weight. Go for lots of walks. As many as you can.

Weight...A problematic issue...I had more than one diet and I can tell you that the only method to lose extra-pounds is exercise and healthy food. Try out a diet can gives you the oportunity to eat as much as you want. This is a disociat diet. First if you wants to lose weight in short time. First Day: You have to eat only meat(chicken, cow) no oil, boiled or grill. Second Day: You have to eat only vegetables. Same rule: no oil, just boil or grill. 3rd Day: Eat only lactic producs. Milk,Cheese,Yogurt etc. 4th Day: Eat only fish, no oil, boiled or grill. 5th Day: Eat only fruits. You can eat all types of fruits as much as you want. 6th Day: You can combine all the above, still with no oil, only boiled or grill. After this week you have to remember some rules: never mix meat with potatoes, always boil or grill, evoid as much as possible salt, drink only wather or tea. In time try to have regulate meals and never eat so you feel full. It's better to eat less and often than eat much and rare. Hope you'll succeed!
