Is it possible for my stomach to shrink?
I was very sick with the flu for a little over a week, I slept a lot and didn't eat much, I feel better now and today I notice the portion of food I usually eat was too much. I was full with about a 1/4 of the amount. is it possible my stomach shrunk? If so, Is it bad for my body to only eat the 1/4 of food I'm hungry for? or should I make myself eat my orignal amount?

yes, the stomach expands and contracts depending on how much you typically eat. If you constantly stuff yourself it will take more and more food to make you feel full. That's why those dudes who weigh 900 pounds can eat ghastly amounts of food. Eat enough to make you feel full, but not stuffed. If you find yourself losing too much weight, eat a little more, and vice versa.

if you lower the intake of food gradually

Yes, what happened you were not taking any thing much in and your body was healing as you slept. However do not try to gain the weight back or force yourself to eat. When you eat, eat more veggies, even in soups. Make your own soup and if you would care to know more email me. As for the food you are hungry for be careful with protein like meats,as it will blow you up (fat)and takes 3 days to digest. Keep off starches and sugar, easy on the breads, pastas, and rice, and pizza's Stay away from burgers and fries, they are not good for you, you need to build your immune system up and you will only do it by eating correctly. There are so many toxins now in the foods and air along with preservatives, and additives,Our bodies are so busy fighting those things it cannot build the immune system. God made our bodies that if we fed it correctly it would heal itself, However people are in such a hurry any more they want everything immediately so of course take short cuts, and then wonder why they get sick. If you want to eat like before, gradually build up to it, starting with light meals and soups, etc. However canned soups are too salty, that is why I suggest making your own.
